What is WallpaperHub?

WallpaperHub is a web and android app for browsing, uploading and sharing animated wallpapers and videos optimized for devices and backgrounds.

Does Live Wallpaper consume a lot of battery?

Animated wallpapers do use more resources than static ones, but our app is optimized to limit battery drain. On most modern devices the difference is small, especially when using low-resolution or shorter loop wallpapers.

If you ever experience issues with battery optimization, you can switch to a static wallpaper as a fallback. You can also open an issue via our form and our team will take a look.

Why does the Android app stop working after some time?

Some Android versions and manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.) aggressively limit apps running in the background to save power. This can cause wallpapers or services to pause after a while. To fix this, disable battery optimizations for the app in your system settings (Settings → Apps → WallpaperHub → Battery → Don’t optimize).

Uploading & Formats

What file formats can I upload?

We accept MP4, JPG or PNG and some animated image formats. Convert unsupported files to MP4 or JPG or PNG.

Are there size limits?

Yes — uploads have limits for performance. If your file is too large, compress or use a lower bitrate also you can't upload more than 10 files per day. All files will be reviewed for compliance with our guidelines.

Can I add metadata or tags?

Yes. Add a title, description, categories, and tags during upload to help discovery.

Licensing & Copyright

Who owns the uploaded content?

Uploaders retain ownership. By uploading, you grant the platform a license to host and display the file.

Can I upload copyrighted material?

Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Infringing content is removed when reported.

Privacy & Data

What personal data do you collect?

We collect only account essentials (email, username) and metadata about uploads. See Privacy Policy. For more detail visit our Terms of Service.

Can I delete my account and content?

Yes — delete or deactivate your account from settings, and request removal of uploaded files.

Troubleshooting

Playback is choppy or won't play — what should I do?

Try a different browser, update GPU drivers, or use a lower-quality version. On mobile, disable battery/data saver.

I can’t upload — I get an error.

Check file format/size, sign-in status, and connection. If it persists, contact support with the upload ID.

How are wallpapers moderated?
